Octopus with black bryony

Ingredients:

1 kilo octopus, chopped

2 bunches black bryony

2 large onions, finely chopped

1 cup olive oil

1 cup aromatic red wine

Salt and pepper

Preparation:

Wash the black bryony and remove the lower hard part. Boil for 10 minutes, remove with a skimmer and drain completely. Slightly saute the onion in olive oil and add the octopus. Stir, add the wine and 1 cup water, cover it and simmer for another 45 minutes. Check with a fork, if the octopus is done. Then add the black bryony and season with salt and pepper. Remove the lid and boil for another 20 minutes. Serve the food warm.
