Welcome to beautiful Bali. We are 32 km from Rethymnon and 42 km from Heraklion. From what I can observe, this waterfront place is surrounded by a mountain arc composed of four scenic bays. In ancient times it was called Atalla and was the harbor city of ancient Axos and continued as an important port during periods of Venetian and Ottoman rule. During Ottoman rule, the region received this name. Because the area was very honey named Bali, meaning Melotopos from Bal = honey and Ile = place. From 1720 to 1957, our building was carob warehouse. In the revolution of 1866 the first weapons that came with boats stored in this building from where it was distributed slowly across the region. In 1968 he became a coffeehouse became Tavern where it continues to this day to offer fresh fish and delicious traditional local dishes.
