Morosini
The general Francesco Morosini foreseeable designed and implemented with the assistance of engineers Zorzi Corner, Raffaello Monnani and Francesco Basilicata, the megalepivolo work of water supply, the construction of an aqueduct length of 15 kilometers, carrying the waters of different sources from the northern slopes Youchtas.
Candia, now Heraklion always had water shortage. The city was supplied with water from wells with brackish water, small fountains and water tanks which collect the rainwater. Know that in 1639 there were 1270 wells and 273 tanks.
