Church of St. Peter

In the coastal highway east of Heraklion, the Historical Museum, amid Byzantine ruins of buildings is the church of St. Peter. Constructed by the Venetians and was single Dominicans. As almost all the churches of the city, after 1669, the Turks converted into a mosque. This is great nave basilica which recently restored to its original form.
