Agios Antonios Cave or Patsos Cave
Agios Antonios Cave or Patsos Cave
The Cave of St. Anthony is located in Chania, north of the village Patsos Amari, in the beautiful and lush gorge Patsou (or St. Anthony). The cave is called the Cave and Kranaou Mercury, as it was the place of worship Kranaou Mercury, as stated in the dedicatory inscription "Hermes Kranaio, Doros Stefano efhin."
Today the cave is the beautiful church of Saint Anthony, the patron saint of children. The cave and the gorge can be visited, since the Directorate of Forestry has organized the area
