Fratiano Gorge
Fratiano Gorge is one of the longest canyons of Rethymno Prefecture. Its entrance is located 23km southeast of Rethymnon, next to the village Frati, and it mouth is located near the exit of the gorge Kourtaliotiko. Running alongside Kourtaliotiko Gorge and crossing Xiro Oros Mountain.
The gorge is accessible on foot, but swimming is needed in several places! The river flowing through the gorge of Frati joins the river of Kourtaliotis, continuing its way to Preveli beach.
